This Shepard Flocked to LSU
|
Coming out of high school in 2008, Shepard was regarded along with Matt Barkley, as one of the top two quarterback prospects in the nation. The prized recruit chose the Tigers over Michigan, Florida and USC.
Believing he had the best opportunity to play QB, was what led Shepard to LSU as other schools such as USC had him projected at other positions.
Shepard starred at Cypress Ridge High School in Harris County, TX and earned 2008 Second-Team All-American honors from the USA Today. As a senior he rushed for 1,946 yards and 28 touchdowns while throwing for 1,843 yards and 20 scores.
